And you thought your Monday was rough.
A mom in Scotland’s “really funny” photos taken before and after her daughter’s first day of school are racking up the likes after being posted on Facebook.
Mom Jill sent photos of her daughter Lucie to a local paper after surreptitiously snapping the “after” picture upon her usually well-kempt tot’s return from a day of learning and playing with friends.
“She absolutely loves school and this was her first day in P2 so she absolutely loved having her new things on,” Jill told the BBC.
In the understatement of the (school) year, Lucie replied “nothing much” when Jill asked her what she had done in order to get her uniform and hair so messy.
“She’d obviously had a really fun day,” Jill added.
Lucie is enjoying her bit of internet fame, her mom said. Her daughter has been telling everyone, “Oh, I’m famous.”
The Barrhead News’ post of Lucie’s photos has so far received nearly 6,000 likes and almost 10,000 comments with several proud parents sharing similar photo sets of smiling, wild-haired children in school clothes.
“I don’t think they quite anticipated how it would spread,” Jill said.
