Man arrested for killing infant son

New Delhi: A 27-year-old man was arrested for killing his infant son in Gazipur area. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Jasmeet Singh said that during the quarrel, he hit the child on his forehead. "The cause of death was injury due to the stick hit by child's father," said DCP East. During the investigation, the accused was arrested from West Bengal. He was hiding in a relative's house in West Bengal.

New Delhi: A 27-year-old man was arrested for killing his infant son in Gazipur area. Police said that during a quarrel with his wife accused hit the child with a stick on his head which resulted in his death. According to police on October 8, a call was received from a hospital in Patparganj area regarding a five months old male child who was admitted by her mother. The minor was declared brought dead. During the enquiry, it revealed that on October 6, the childs mother had a quarrel with her husband and he beat her with a stick. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Jasmeet Singh said that during the quarrel, he hit the child on his forehead. The child was normal till the morning on October 7 but the very next day the infant started vomiting and was admitted in the hospital. After the incident, the deceaseds father was absconded. On October 9, the postmortem was conducted. "The cause of death was injury due to the stick hit by childs father," said DCP East. During the investigation, the accused was arrested from West Bengal. He was hiding in a relatives house in West Bengal.
