North Collins blanks Dunkirk, Pine Valley beats Westfield

The North Collins Eagles took down the Dunkirk Marauders in a three set sweep on Monday night, in North Collins, 25-14, 25-14, 25-20.

The Eagles were paced by an impressive game from Deanne Wilson, who had 18 kills and an assist, while Makenna Williams had a kill with 24 assists and an ace. Michaela Rice had seven kills and three aces, while McKenna Rice had six kills.

Dunkirk (5-5) is next in action on Wednesday, Sept. 25 against Westfield, while North Collins (7-0) will take on Silver Creek on the same day at 5 p.m.

Pine Valley 3, Westfield 1

The Pine Valley Panthers took down the Westfield Wolverines in four sets on Monday night, 25-10, 25-10, 24-26, 25-12.

The Wolverines were lead on the attack by Abbi Warner’s four aces, Nel Maldanado’s three kills, one ace, and a block, Tanleigh Bestine’s two aces, a kill, a block, and six assists, and Keara Kincaid’s six kills, one ace, one block, and an assist.

Westfield (0-8) is next in action on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Dunkirk for a 5 p.m. start, while Pine Valley (5-4) will take on Forestville on the same say at 6:30 p.m.
