The biggest series of the Pac-12 baseball season is finally here as two of three Pac-12 leaders face each other beginning Friday at Stanford.

Oregon State, Stanford and UCLA are tied for first place at 19-5 with six games remaining. That will change tonight, when the Beavers and Cardinal play the first of three games at Sunken Diamond.

Oregon State (34-15-1) sends Bryce Fehmel (7-1, 3.24 ERA) to the mound, while Stanford (37-9) counters with Brendan Beck (4-3, 3.23). First pitch is 6:05 p.m.

Aside from a league title, also at stake is positioning for NCAA tournament seeding. Both teams are trying to move into a top-8 seed, which would assure home field through the super regionals.

Oregon State has won 13 consecutive games at Stanford, last losing in 2009.

The rest of the weekend is up for grabs because of weather. Saturday’s game has been moved from 4 p.m. to noon because of rainy weather in the forecast. Sunday’s game is currently slated for 12:05 p.m.
