Coming out of high school in the class of 2017, Oklahoma product Kyrei Fisher was a consensus three-star linebacker with plenty of options on the table.
The 6-foot-2, 227-pound 'backer held offers from Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Michigan State, Minnesota and several others before announcing he would be a Razorback.
After two seasons in Fayetteville, in which he appeared in four games, Fisher elected to transfer and landed - briefly - at Trinity Valley Community College (Athens, Texas).
He didn’t have to wait long for another opportunity.
Without playing a down in junior college, Fisher quickly generated interest from FCS and FBS programs, ending his recruitment with a commitment this weekend during an official visit to Oregon State:

He committed to the Beavers over offers from Arkansas State, Texas State and Troy.
Earlier this month, Fisher tweeted out an explanation of his time at Arkansas, and why his second chance won’t be wasted.
“I didn’t leave Arkansas because I wasn’t good enough to play I left because I myself wasn’t in the right mindset,” he wrote. “This time away has showed me a lot and I’m more prepared than ever to go!”
Fisher intends to arrive in Corvallis in time for fall camp and hopes to be eligible this season.
