Motorcyclist dies in Gresham crash, Burnside Road closed for several hours

Update 10:55 a.m. Thursday: Officials have identified the motorcyclist as 19-year-old Henry Sweeney, of Gresham. The driver of the SUV was 81-year-old Mary Bean, of Fairview.

Sweeney died at the scene, Gresham Police said. No arrests or citations have been issued yet.

Update 6:21 p.m.: KGW reported that the motorcyclist died in the crash.

A crash between a motorcycle and an SUV has closed Burnside Road in Gresham for the next several hours, said Gresham Police. The crash, which is at the intersection of Burnside and Oregon Trail Center, happened around 3:30 p.m. and injured at least one person. Gresham Police have not released the nature of the injuries.
