Biennial inspection work on Tilikum Crossing begins 8 a.m. Monday and continues 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily through Thursday, June 27. TriMet warns that pedestrians, cyclists and people using other modes like e-scooters will need to use a single pathway during those hours. The inspection work does not delay MAX lines or buses.

TriMet said in a recent release that users may see workers on top of, beside and even underneath the bridge. Follow posted detour signs. Cyclists are encouraged to walk their bikes during heavy usage time and to yield to those on foot.

Multnomah County's Southeast Cochran Road bridge construction project begins 7 a.m. Monday. The road will be closed to through traffic for approximately four months as workers replace the small culvert carrying Beaver Creek under Cochran Road with a 60-foot long bridge. The current culvert presents a barrier to fish and has shifted over time. The new bridge will ensure the roadway stays stable.

The road, just south of Mt. Hood Community College, will be closed from Southeast Troutdale Road to just past the culvert on the west side of Beaver Creek. The neighborhood west of the work site will remain accessible via Northeast 17th Drive up to and including Northeast Paloma Avenue.

Property owners on Cochran Road near the work zone will have access to their properties at all times.
