Portland metro Monday traffic: Road work in Troutdale closes a lane and parking

Road work ahead sign

Old striping will be removed and new lane markers applied to the Historic Columbia River Highway in downtown Troutdale near Buxton Road Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 30-Oct. 1.

The new striping will create a right-turn-only lane from eastbound Historic Highway to Buxton Road. Crews will also stripe a bike lane on eastbound Historic Highway between the new right turn lane and the eastbound through lane.

During the work, one lane and on-street parking will be closed in the work zone, between 257th Drive and the block between Buxton and Dora Road. Flaggers will direct traffic on one open lane. Drivers should expect delays during the work.

The work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled in the event of heavy rain. The current forecast looks good for road work Monday and Tuesday.
