Current and prospective college students in Oregon are extremely down on attending college if classes are offered exclusively online, and as many as one-third say they may switch to a different school such as a community college or pause college altogether if that happens, a new survey has found.

The survey, by Portland-based opinion research firm DHM Research, was part of a larger opinion poll of 600 college students in the three West Coast states. It included just 174 Oregon students, which gives it a large margin of error of plus or minus 7 percentage points. Nonetheless, many trends are clear.
