Portland man arrested in July homicide

A Portland man has been charged with killing a younger man who was found shot to death in Northeast Portland in July.

Horace Atchison, 46, was arraigned Wednesday and faces one count of murdering Tylone Tolliver, 25. On July 28, Tolliver was found lying on the ground with gunshot wounds at the intersection of Northeast Russell Street and Rodney Avenue in Portland’s Eliot neighborhood. Medical crews said Tolliver died at the scene.

Atchison is currently being held without bail in the Multnomah County Jail. His indictment is scheduled for Sept. 12.
