Beaverton police on Tuesday arrested five people who they said are suspects in a rash of crimes around Oregon and Washington in the past few days.

Police arrested the five suspects Tuesday afternoon when they pulled into the Beaverton Town Square Fred Meyer in a stolen Audi A8.

Officer Jeremy Shaw said the suspects were all male, some adults and some juveniles. He said police believe the suspects are from northern Washington and stole the car from there a few days ago. The five males are suspects in several crimes in Beaverton including robbery, identity theft and unlawful use of a vehicle. Shaw said the suspects may face more charges from other agencies.

Shaw said he couldn’t yet identify the suspects but said they were being investigated by five different agencies, including three in Washington County and two outside the area. He also wouldn’t identify the Washington town the five suspects are from, as he said police are investigating whether they were on a “crime spree” there before they arrived in Oregon.

He said more information about the suspects, including names and specific charges, would be released Wednesday.
