Former Oregon forward Miles Norris commits to UC Santa Barbara

EUGENE — Miles Norris will continue his college basketball career on the West Coast.

The former Oregon forward announced his commitment to UC Santa Barbara Thursday afternoon.

The 6-foot-10 Norris averaged 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds while playing 10.5 minutes per game in 27 games as a true freshman last season.

UCSB went 22-10 last season and had multiple senior forwards complete their eligibility.

Miles is one of two players to transfer from Oregon this offseason along with guard Victor Bailey Jr.

The Ducks also lost seniors Paul White and Ehab Amin, freshmen Bol Bol and Louis King entered the NBA Draft and intend to remain and Kenny Wooten and Payton Pritchard are testing the waters of the draft but are expected to return next season.
