EUGENE — Oregon women’s basketball will face five teams that made last year’s NCAA Tournament during nonconference play this season.
Syracuse, Louisville, South Dakota State, Kansas State and UConn all landed on the Ducks’ 2019-20 schedule.
The Ducks will open the season with a three-game homestand, starting against Northeastern Nov. 11, followed by Utah State (Nov. 13) and Texas Southern (Nov. 16). Oregon will be without Satou Sabally for those three games while she plays for the German national team.
UO will then travel to Syracuse, its first NCAA Tournament foe, on Nov. 24 and then head to the Virgin Islands as part of the Paradise Jam, where it’ll face Oklahoma State, UT Arlington and Louisville, which made it to the Elite Eight last season.
Oregon returns home to face South Dakota State, which it defeated in Brookings and in the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season, on Dec. 8.
The Ducks travel to Long Beach State (Dec. 14) before coming back to Matthew Knight Arena for games against UC Riverside (Dec. 16) and Kansas State (Dec. 21) and an exhibition with Corban (Dec. 28).
Oregon’s marquee trip to UConn comes on Feb. 3 as part of ESPN’s Big Monday and in between road games at Colorado and Utah and home games with Arizona and Arizona State.
The Ducks are finalizing details of a season-opening exhibition, which will be announced later.
Lower level tickets at Matthew Knight Arena are sold out but reserved season tickets in the upper level are still being sold for $119. Single-game tickets will go on sale after the Pac-12 portion of the 2019-20 schedule is finalized.
