The rosters for the 2020 McDonald’s All-American games were announced Thursday, and all five members of the Oregon Ducks women’s basketball 2020 recruiting class made the list.
In November, Oregon signed the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class, consisting of five five-star prospects.
But with the five-star distinction dropping into the 50s on ESPN, some wondered how truly elite each of the five athletes really was.
Thursday’s announcement of the McDonald’s All-American game rosters should erase any doubt.
Point guard Te-Hina Paopao (California), guard Sydney Parrish (Indiana), guard Maddie Scherr (Kentucky), forward Angela Dugalic (Illinois) and forward Kylee Watson (New Jersey) each made the 24-player All-American roster.
“We’re really excited about this group,” Oregon coach Kelly Graves said in a news release from the early signing period. “We targeted the right players - ones who fit who we are and how we play. From all reports it’s the No. 1 ranked class in the country, but to me, that doesn’t matter – we got the right players.”
Local star and Stanford pledge Cameron Brink, out of Mountainside High School, as well as Oregon State’s five-star signee Sasha Goforth (Arkansas) also were selected to participate in the event.
The McDonald’s All-American games for girls and boys tip-off April 1 at 4 and 6 p.m., respectively, at the Toyota Center in Houston and will be nationally-televised.

"McDonald’s is celebrating the next generation of basketball stars by bringing the event to Houston for the very first time. Fans will get a first look at some of the nation’s top emerging players as they take their talents to the court at Toyota Center.
