Gresham police ask for help finding endangered 1-year-old

Gresham police are asking for help finding an endangered 1-year-old girl.

Phoenix Burks was last seen with her mother, 20-year-old Raemi Carter, nearly a week ago, police said Wednesday night.

It was ordered Aug. 1 that Phoenix be taken into protective custody, police said. Carter fled with the girl when authorities contacted her, according to police.

Carter has connections in Oregon, Nevada and California, police said.

Police urge anyone with information about Phoenix’s location to call 503-823-3333 or 911, if needed.
