Trouble signing up for ‘Family Feud’ Portland auditions? Link is now fixed

“Family Feud" has plenty of fans in the Portland area, judging from the phone calls and emails we got after our original post about the upcoming Portland auditions. But then some sort of glitch made the link to apply for auditions not work properly. And we sure heard about that, too.

We have no connection to “Family Feud,” mind you. We’re just the messenger. But in this case, the frustration from readers was obvious, so we checked out the link in the original post, and found, sure enough, it wasn’t working. So we contacted the publicist who originally sent word of the Portland auditions, to inform her of the problem with the link.

Good news -- the link is now fixed. There’s still time to apply, since the Portland auditions are scheduled for July 27 and July 28. Our original post has details, but here are a few as reminders, courtesy of the press release:

Apply online to schedule an audition; pictures and videos are encouraged; if including a video, at least five family members are required to appear (“feel free to use props, costumes, play a mock round of the game, or anything to stand out!” as the release says); be sure and introduce yourselves, and say where you’re from.

Also, potential contestants must have five family members related by blood, marriage or legal adoption, and be a U.S. citizen, or have permission to work within the U.S.

And while there’s no age specified to be eligible, “Family Feud” recommends contestants are 15 years or older, since the questions can get a little, well, let’s say colorful.

Here’s that link, which the “Family Feud” folks promise now works: https://www.familyfeud.com/audition/

You can also check out the Audition by Video page. The contestant department hotline is (818) 451-4281.
