Pink Floyd was one of the most-influential bands of the 1970s. And its music has been kept alive by Roger Waters, the creative mind behind the group’s unique sound and message.
Waters returns to Portland’s Moda Center at 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, with his This Is Not a Drill tour, which will be performed in the round, offering a new perspective on his famously theatrical shows.
Ticket presales begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29 through Ticketmaster. General tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 31. Ticket prices are $32, $52, $72, $96.50, $142 and $196.50, not including service charges. Tickets will also be available from StubHub.
In announcing the show, Waters promised it would be no-holds-barred.
“My work is to think, ‘Well, how can I make rock & roll more interesting or theatrical or exciting or visual or musical or whatever?’ That’s what I’ve spent the last 50 years doing, expressing myself,” Waters told Rolling Stone.
