The frenzied bidding wars of 2017-2018 are long gone, but there are neighborhoods in the Portland metro area in which homes sell much faster than the almost 50 day average.

Using the latest data from the Regional Multiple Listing Service (RMLS), we identified the urban and suburban locales in which homes sold on average in 32 days or less.

Timber and Scotts Mills topped the list of fasting selling neighborhoods, with each boasting an average sale of about a week, but that's based on only one residential property closing in each zip code in the last three months of 2019.

In Scotts Mills' 97375 ZIP code, the one closed sale in the fourth quarter of 2019 spent eight days on the market and the sale price was $350,000.

The Craftsman-styled house, built in 1920 on 0.7 acres (seen here), sold on Oct. 29, 2019 and has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and 1,769 square feet of living space, says listing agent John Tate of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Real Estate Professionals.

In Timber's 97144 ZIP code, there was one sale in the fourth quarter of 2019. Based on that data, homes spent an average of seven days on the market and the median sale price was $299,750.
