Portland metro Saturday weather: Cloudy morning to make way for sunny afternoon

Clouds in Portland are expected to pass Saturday, allowing the sun to shine in the afternoon with a high near 75 degrees.

The morning is expected to stay cool with temperatures staying in the high 50s and low 60s, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures should rise quickly in the afternoon as clouds pass.

The service predicts a light northwest wind that will increase to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. By tonight, temperatures should cool down to a low near 57 degrees.

High temperatures will stay consistently in the low 70s throughout the weekend and into the week, according to the service. The service reports a chance of rain Tuesday.
