A section of Historic Columbia River Highway will be closed for three hours, until about 6 p.m., due to a fallen tree, according to a tweet from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

The fallen tree also caused downed power lines, according to the tweet. Police are redirecting traffic and travelers should avoid the area between the Troutdale Bridge and S.E. Woodard Road.

Travelers who need access to the area should use the Stark Street Bridge, police said.
