Police say they’ve found clothes they think belong to missing Bend woman, Lori “Woody” Blaylock, in an area about 4.5 miles downstream from Marion Forks along the North Santiam River.

spokesman, Don Thomson, said the items of clothing—including a black and white sweater—had been placed under a tree and covered with forest debris. The 48-year-old woman’s pants, shoes and purse were not found.

detectives made the discovery Friday, Thomson said.

Steven Blaylock, Blaylock’s 45-year-old husband, told police he last saw his wife on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 28, at their home in the 2600 block of Northeast Genet Court.

in Bend on accusations of of murder, second-degree domestic assault and tampering with evidence. He is being held without bail.

Police now say they believe that Blaylock killed his wife on Wednesday, Oct. 27, and then disposed of her body between Marion Forks and Idanha, possibly in the North Santiam River, along Oregon 22.

WHITE SUV AND TRAILER INTEGRAL TO THE SEARCH FOR LORI BLAYLOCK

Blaylock, 48, was a respiratory therapist at St. Charles Medical Center for the past 18 years. Friends said she married Steven Blaylock 15 months ago following a two-month courtship.

Thomson said that on Saturday, detectives and members of the Linn County Sheriff’s Office dive team and a canine cadaver dog, resumed the search for Lori Blaylock in the North Santiam River, without success.

They returned to the river Sunday, and this time used volunteer whitewater rafters to float the river from where they think Blaylock’s body may have been thrown in, to Detroit Lake. Nothing was found.

Thomson said police may conduct additional searchers but that the the swiftness of the water and winter weather makes further searches problematic.

Police are asking people who live along the North Santiam River from Marion Forks to Idanha to look for anything related to this case or other clues on their property.

Investigators are also asking for anyone who may have seen a
