A truck driver plunged to his death off an Interstate 5 bridge early Thursday in southern Oregon, troopers say.

Pavlo Hryzhuk, 21, was driving a box truck near the small city of Rogue River when he drifted to the right, hit a guard rail, crashed off the bridge and landed on a road below, according to the Oregon State Police.

Hryzhuk, a resident of Citrus Heights, California, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are looking into the possibility that fatigue factored into the crash, troopers said.

Authorities initially responded to the scene, which is near Valley of the Rogue State Park, about 3:40 a.m.
