1 killed, 1 hurt in NE Portland house fire

A man was killed and a woman injured in a Northeast Portland house fire early Monday, authorities say.

Portland Fire & Rescue said the woman injured in the blaze near Northeast 107th Avenue and Russell Court was taken to a hospital. She’s expected to survive, according to the agency.

The fire was extinguished, the agency said about 7:10 a.m. The cause is under investigation.

“Our hearts go out to the family impacted by this tragedy,” the agency said on Twitter.

No additional information about the blaze was immediately released.
