The Oregon Ducks have had a high rate of success hosting official visitors in the month of June.
After landing fast-rising Mississippi three-star running back and three-star defensive end Jake Shipley last week, Mario Cristobal and his coaching staff were at it again this weekend.
Oregon hosted just two official visitors - consensus three-star offensive lineman Jaylan Jeffers and Rivals four-star linebacker Jackson LaDuke - but that didn’t stop the good news for the program.
On Monday, LaDuke, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound versatile linebacker out of Spanish Springs High School (Springs, Nevada), announced his commitment to Oregon, choosing the Ducks over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado, Kansas State, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon State, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Utah and Wisconsin:

“First off I’d like to thank everyone who’s given me the chance to be in the position I am today,” he wrote. “Thank you to all the coaches who recruited me and believed in my abilities. Lastly thank you to everyone who supported me through this entire process. After talking with my family, I am committing to THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON!!! #SCODUCKS.”
LaDuke’s pledge marks Oregon’s sixth commitment of the month of June, joining Hawaii offensive lineman Faaope Laloulu and defensive lineman Maceal Afaese, California safety Jared Greenfield, California defensive end Jake Shipley and Mississippi running back Trey Benson.
