Oregon State catcher Adley Rutschman is a semifinalist for two postseason awards.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association named Rutschman a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy on Thursday. The trophy is given annually to the player judged the nation’s top college player.

On Wednesday, Rutschman was selected a seminalist for the Golden Spikes Award given annually by USA Baseball to the player judged to the nation’s top amateur player.

Rutschman leads the Division I level with a .581 on-base percentage. He is fourth with a .428 batting average, and fifth .783 slugging percentage.

The Beavers play at Stanford in a key Pac-12 series that begins Friday.
