Nate Yeskie, Oregon State’s pitching coach since 2009, reportedly will leave the Beavers to become pitching coach at Arizona according to a report on Twitter by Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball.com.

Yeskie, Collegiate Baseball’s 2017 national pitching coach of the year, was a finalist to succeed Pat Casey when he stepped down as OSU’s head coach in June at the end of a year’s sabbatical.

Yeskie and OSU assistant Pat Bailey, who served as the Beavers’ interim coach for the 2019 season, both interviewed to be OSU’s head coach. Some past OSU players lobbied for Yeskie on social media.

The Beavers instead hired former OSU player Mitch Canham, a minor league manager in the Seattle Mariners’ organization.

An OSU spokesperson confirmed Monday night that Yeskie no longer worked for the school.
