Sullivan Puckett had an RBI single and reached base three times, but it wasn’t enough for Sprague (Salem) on Friday as Elmora Youth (New Jersey) rallied late for a 6-2 victory at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

Riley Wilson, Gavin Price, Spencer Shortis, Cameron Van Kempen and Carson McNally also hit safely for Sprague, which led 2-1 before Elmora Youth put up five runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by Jayden Capindica's two-run single.

Despite the loss, Sprague remains in contention for the title. The Salem team will play Eastbank (La.) at 5 p.m. (Pacific) on Saturday and has a chance to work its way back into the winners’ bracket of the double-elimination tournament.
