To cop, or not to cop?

That’s the question fans around around the football world are having around Nike’s latest attempt to pull your hard-earned cash away from you with these special, college football team-inspired Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 Running Shoes.

At just under $130, they aren’t cheap, but fans have already been smashing the “Add to Cart” button with reckless abandon on the Oregon Ducks model Nike Pegasus 36 shoe. If we’re going on sales alone, the Ducks would be clear winners in a popularity contest with all nearly all sizes sold out in the University of Oregon model and only sizes 10.5 and 11 remaining on Fanatics.com. There are a few more size options remaining on the Nike.com site, however.

For the Oregon State Beavers Nike Pegasus 36 model shoe, all sizes remain in stock on Fanatics. That’s great news for Beavers fans if you’re still looking for a pair of flashy kicks to rock on game day. While they may not be flying off the shelves, the Beavers’ edition shoe may be the more practical option during the fall season out here in the Pacific Northwest. When the rain starts falling and things get muddy, at least this shoe won’t get destroyed as soon as you set foot outside your vehicle. That black midsole will hide a lot of the dirt, dust and spilled beer a fan might run into over the course of a college football season. The Ducks edition? Not so much. While the color palette is nice, that white midsole and light gray upper will likely be toast by Week 2. That is, unless you have the time or care enough to keep them squeaky clean.

Outside of the early sales figures, we want to hear what you — the fans here in Oregon — have to say about which team has the better design and color scheme. Is it the Oregon State Beavers model shoe in orange and black with white accents and a black midsole, or the Oregon Ducks model shoe in green and gray with yellow accents and a white midsole? Would you even consider spending $130 on either pair of these shoes? You tell us:
