Razor clam digging is closed along the entire Oregon Coast.

State officials from the Agriculture and Fish and Wildlife departments announced the closure Friday after testing at all locations showed a sharp spike in levels of domoic acid.

Bay clamming and crabbing (bay and ocean) remain open, but the razor-clam ban also applies to areas at and near the mouths of bays.

Razor clam digging remains open Sunday and Monday evenings (only) on southwest Washington beaches, including Long Beach and Twin Harbors.

Additional Washington seasons are under consideration for the Christmas holiday and January, but are still pending approval as the state tests for toxins.
