Fifteen.

That’s how many days have passed at Portland International Airport since the last time measurable precipitation fell there.

May has been completely dry, with summerlike conditions and temperatures topping out near 90 degrees. Portland’s last rainy day, as a result, feels like a distant memory.

Since measurable precipitation last fell in Portland, the Trail Blazers have continued their playoff push. A royal baby has been born. And the city has basked in a brief bout of summer fever.

But rain is expected to return to Portland late Monday or Tuesday, ushering in a stretch of wetter weather that’s predicted to last through at least the weekend.

Highs will linger in the low to mid-60s. And on the heels of a summerlike stretch, it will feel like spring once again.
