It might look gloomy at the start, but Saturday promises to shape up into a nice summer day around Portland, with partly cloudy skies and moderate temperatures lasting into Sunday.

The National Weather Service predicts patchy drizzle and clouds around the Portland metro area Saturday morning, with the sun gradually peeking out through the afternoon. The high temperature is forecasted to be 75 degrees Saturday, with a low of 59 overnight.

Similar conditions are expected to last into Sunday, which the weather service predicts will see mostly sunny skies and a high temperature near 78 degrees.

The weekend will naturally be a bit cooler at the Oregon coast, which is forecast to get mostly cloudy skies and a high of 67 degrees Saturday at Astoria. There should be fewer clouds up on Mount Hood, which will see a high of 62 degrees at Timberline Lodge.
