Shoppers could pick up ingredients for a cheeseburger in paradise as they danced to Jimmy Buffett tunes at Florida’s newest Publix, serving residents of the Latitude Margaritaville 55-and-older community in Daytona Beach.

People came as early as 5:30 a.m. to check out the new 48,347-square-foot grocery store, in “the first retail development to open in the fast-growing LPGA area west of Interstate 95,” the Daytona Beach News Journal reported.

Residents in the area west of I-95 said they’d been driving to Ormond Beach to get groceries.

The development includes Latitude Margaritaville, LPGA International, Bayberry Lakes and ICI Homes’ new Mosaic community, the News Journal reported.

The new Publix boasts the chain’s new prototype design, which includes a larger deli section, a dining area on a separate floor, a drive-through and more, the newspaper reported.
