OXFORD West and Abingdon MP Layla Moran was given more than £40,000 by donors earlier this summer, official papers show.

Ms Moran was given £10,000 by Matthew Oakeshott, Baron Oakeshott of Seagrove Bay and declared the donation in June.

He is a former Liberal Democrat but resigned from the party in 2014 after being critical of the coalition and former leader Nick Clegg.

He has given to Lib Dem, Labour and Green candidates previously.

He donated £5,000 to Labour’s Rachel Reeves earlier this year.

Lib Dem Ms Moran declared another £31,750 from a variety of other donors.

They include management consultancy Auvian Ltd, which is based in London. That donated £2,500 to support Ms Moran.

Henley’s MP John Howell declared he had been given complementary tickets for the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. They came from defence firm CAE plc.

The tickets, for Mr Howell and for a member of his staff, were worth £1,260. He registered the donation at the start of this month.

Banbury MP Victoria Prentis registered two tickets she received to attend the British Grand Prix at Silverstone last month. Donated by Motorsports UK, they were worth £610 each, the register of members' financial interests shows.
