POLICE are appealing to help find a wanted man from Oxford.

Mokhtar Bennagi, 29, is wanted in connection with an assault of a 29-year-old woman which occurred in Barns Road on May 4.

The victim sustained facial injuries.

Mr Bennagi is white, with a shaved head, a medium sized beard and is about 5ft 10ins tall.

He is known to frequent the Oxford area.

Members of the public are advised to call 999 if they see Mr Bennagi and not to approach him.

Investigating officer, PC Alexander Patel, based at Cowley police station, said: “I would like to ask the public for any information relating to the whereabouts of Mokhtar Bennagi so as to help us trace him.

“If you have any details which could help locate him, please contact Thames Valley Police on the non-emergency number 101 or online quoting reference number 43200092596.

“If you see Bennagi, please call us on 999 and do not approach him.”
