OLIVER Butler enjoyed a tournament to remember at the Under 15 Gold event in Gloucester.
Butler, who recently moved to the county from Buckinghamshire, won gold in the boys’ and mixed doubles, and also claimed silver in the singles.
In the Shires League, Oxfordshire Under 12s made it back-to-back wins with a 16-4 success over Warwickshire 2nd at St Helen & St Katharine School, Abingdon.
The result was never in doubt after a storming start from the hosts, who won all four mixed doubles and boys’ singles to lead 8-0.
This advantage was extended to 11-1 after the girls’ singles, and although Warwickshire won three of the eight doubles matches, Oxon recorded an emphatic victory.
Ethan Soanes, Ryan Tao, Jamie Wakefield, Siwan Fan, Alexander Wan, Nathaniel Wan, Phoebe Wing, Maya Cawte, Jessica Hall and Megan Tristram made up the Oxfordshire team.
