Victim of Harrisburg shooting was 14-year-old: police

Police tape keeps spectators well back from the scene where one person was shot and killed Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in Harrisburg.

A 14-year-old Harrisburg resident died during a Tuesday afternoon shooting, Harrisburg police said.

Officers responded around 3:59 p.m. to shots fired calls from the 2300 block of Center Street, an alley between Kensington and Berryhill Streets.

Neighbors said they saw several juveniles running through the alley at the time of the shooting.

The 14-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police have not yet identified the victim.
