The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission’s Great White Fleet of trout-stocking trucks will be rolling across southeastern and southcentral Pennsylvania throughout March, transferring thousands of trout from commission hatcheries to streams and lakes in advance of the Saturday, March 30, regional opening day of trout fishing season.
Responding to the earlier timing of seasons in southeastern and southcentral Pennsylvania, the commission opens the trout fishing season 2 weeks earlier in 18 counties than in the other 49 counties of the state.
Those counties are Adams, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Perry, Philadelphia, Schuylkill and York.
Here’s the pre-season stocking schedule for each of those counties. Because the commission relies on the public to help with the stocking and some people just like to watch the trout being stocked, we’ve included the time and location for interested parties to gather and meet the stocking trucks.
Adams County
