Ryan's Buffet Restaurant

Ryan's Buffet Restaurant in Hanover closed on Feb. 18, 2019.

Ryan’s Buffet Restaurant in Hanover has closed.

Assets from the restaurant at 342 Eisenhower Drive in York County are part of a liquidation auction, according to the website Auction Nation. Bidding in the auction ends Feb. 21 and includes assets such as kitchen equipment, tables, booths, high chairs, hostess signs and trays.

The Evening Sun in Hanover reports Auction Nation said in a press statement the restaurant’s lease had ended and the restaurant closed on Feb. 18.

"It is sad to see this location close its doors since so many local patrons have been coming here for years,” Mats Myhre, a spokesperson for Auction Nation, told the Evening News. “This is an amazing opportunity not only for people in the restaurant industry but for patrons and the general public alike to bid on and purchase the assets from Ryan’s Buffet.”

The buffet was the last remaining Ryan’s restaurant in operation in Pennsylvania. It is owned by Ovation Brands, owner of other chains including Old Country Buffet restaurants.
