Cumberland Valley and Trinity kicked off this week’s Mid-Penn swimming action with victories in the pool.

On Monday, the Shamrocks knocked off Cedar Cliff 68-29 in the boys competition and 65-36 in the girls' before toppling Red Land 65-36 and 65-37, respectively.

A day later, the Eagles hosted Northern and East Penn for a tri-meet, and the home side took both sides of the competition, as head coach Michael Gobrecht’s team finished with 193 team points in the girls' meet to Northern’s 79 and East Penn’s 37. It was an effort paced by Jillian Maher’s victory in the 200-yard Freestyle, Carolyn Bolden’s first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, and a handful of relay triumphs.

On the boys side, CV nearly doubled up Northern, winning 195 to 98. Logan Skiles was victorious in the boys' 100-meter backstroke, Ian So in the 500-yard freestyle, Wade Turlington in the 100-yard freestyle, and Kyle Farrow’s win in the 100-yard butterfly added to a lead built on a relay race wins.
