Howtowatch.com has compiled a list of every state’s most popular holiday movie – everything from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” and “Krampus” to “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “The Polar Express.”

In Pennsylvania, the holiday favorite is “Elf,” the 2003 movie about Buddy (Will Ferrell), who was accidentally sent to the North Pole as a child. Buddy travels to New York to find his real father.

“Elf” also was the favorite in Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana and Minnesota.

The second most popular movie was “Scrooged.” It was the favorite in Michigan, Montana, Nebraska and New Hampshire.

Rhode Island went with “Home Alone,” Ohio’s favorite is “A Christmas Story” and New Jersey loves “A Christmas Carol.”
