Harrisburg VeggieFest focuses on popularity of plant-based diets with vegan, vegetarian foods

Harrisburg VeggieFest will be held Aug. 17 at Strawberry Square in Harrisburg.

Maybe you’re a longtime vegetarian or vegan or you’re simply interested in learning more about a plant-based diet. If so, you’ll want to immerse yourself in the third-annual Harrisburg VeggieFest.

The event will take place 1-4 p.m. Aug. 17 at Strawberry Square in Harrisburg with samples from local restaurants, breweries, distilleries and vendors of food, drinks and vegetarian-friendly products.

“We’re excited for the return of Harrisburg VeggieFest to Strawberry Square,” said Brad Jones, president and CEO of Harristown Enterprises. “The Harrisburg area has so much to offer, and this festival allows vegans, vegetarians, and the veg-curious, to shop, sip, and sample from local purveyors in a fun, inviting space - while raising funds for Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.”

Food and beverage vendors include Arooga’s, Flinchy’s, Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar - Harrisburg, Noodles & Co., Ko’à V Food, Troegs Independent Brewing, The Vegetable Hunter, Crook & Marker Spiked & Sparkling, HOLLA Spirits, Iron Hill Brewery - Hershey, Ploughman Cider and Zeroday Brewing Co.
