Recycle Bicycle has found a new home in Harrisburg

Recycle Bicycle

Ross Willard of Recycle Bicycle

Nonprofit group Recycle Bicycle has spent years repairing old bikes and handing them out to people in Harrisburg. But the news that they would have to leave their home at 2266 Atlas Street was going to make that mission a lot trickier.

Fortunately, the group has found a new place to put up their kickstand.

Recycle Bicycle founder Ross Willard had a pretty specific list of requirements when looking for a new building. But key among them was retaining a location in the city, to which people (particularly children) could easily walk.

Despite the obstacles, that location has been found.

The new location of Recycle Bicycle will be at 1722 Chestnut Street in Harrisburg. The news was announced nearly a month after the group had vacated the previous location after it had been purchased by new owners.

Repairs and renovations are already under way at the new location. For details on the progress, visit the Recycle Bicycle Facebook page.
