3 dead in shooting at Philadelphia home

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a shooting in a Philadelphia home that left three men dead may be drug-related.

Police responded to the home about 8:15 p.m. Thursday after a 13-year-old boy reported the shooting. Authorities say the boy's father was one of those killed.

The officers first encountered a man on the sidewalk in a kneeling position holding a gun. They soon discovered he had been shot and wounded, and he later died at a hospital.

Police then entered the home and found one man dead on the first floor and another on the second-floor landing. The teenage boy and three other people — two women and a baby — were also in the home but were not injured.

Authorities believe a drug deal was taking place there just before the shooting.
