WILLIAMSPORT - A man whose last known address was in the 600 block of South 26th Street in Harrisburg is wanted in Williamsport in connection with a shooting last Saturday.

City police have obtained an arrest warrant for Ejuan Jamal Cosby, 21, on charges that include attempted murder.

He is accused of wounding Alrashan Jones in the right leg and foot outside a convenience store at High Street and Sixth Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday.

The victim was driven to UPMC Susquehanna, where he was treated and released.

An affidavit in support of the charges gives the following account of what happened as recorded by store security video:

Jones, a back-seat passenger in a vehicle that arrived at the store at 2:09 a.m., goes in the store.

A minute later a sedan with three individuals including Cosby and his brother pulls up. Cosby enters the store as Jones is leaving and they exchange words.

Jones returns to the vehicle in which he was a passenger, lowers the back window and appears to be yelling at Cosby. He gets back out and begins to remove his coat as if he is preparing to fight Cosby.

Cosby turns around, has a pistol in his right hand and fires multiple shots as he walks toward Jones. Cosby flees and Jones, who had sought cover, gets back in the vehicle and it drives off.

Police said they have determined six shots were fired with one of the bullets lodging in a first-floor window frame at a nearby residence.

Besides attempted homicide, Cosby is charged with aggravated assault, illegal possession of a weapon due to a prior robbery conviction, firearms not to be carried without a license, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, recklessly endangering another person and possessing an instrument of crime.

Police said Cosby has a record as a juvenile.
