The Air National Guard announced that they will present an aircraft flyover for three Pennsylvania cities: Pittsburgh, Johnstown and Harrisburg, on May 19.
The flyover is a part of Operation American Resolve, a nationwide effort designed to salute health care workers, first responders and others working to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Pilots with the 171st Air Refueling Wing and 193rd Special Operations Wing will fly a KC-135 Stratotanker and an EC-130j Commando Solo over hospitals located at the three Pa. cities.
The aircraft will flyover Pittsburgh from 12:18 to 12:26 p.m. and include the following hospitals (in order) in their flight path: Forbes Hospital, UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, UPMC Mercy Hospital, UPMC Mercy Greentree, St. Clair Hospital, Heritage Valley Hospital, Allegheny General Hospital, UPMC Children’s Hospital and UPMC Shadyside.
From 12:41 to 12:49, the aircraft will fly over the following Johnstown-area hospitals: Conemaugh East Hills, Conemaugh Medical Center and Conemaugh Medical Park.
And from 1:08 and 1:18 p.m. the aircraft will fly over the following Harrisburg-area hospitals: UPMC Pinnacle West Shore, UPMC Pinnacle Polyclinic Hospital, UPMC Pinnacle Community Osteopathic, Hershey Medical Center, UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg and Holy Spirit Hospital.
Observers are asked to please maintain proper social distancing guidelines while watching the event.
