Police arrest suspect in 2015 rape, 2017 assault cases out of Harrisburg

A 64-year-old man was arrested in Reading Friday morning, potentially clearing two separate violent crimes in Harrisburg from 2015 and 2017.

Ronald Warren, no permanent address, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force after a successful stakeout of a business in Reading that task force investigators learned he frequents.

Warren was taken into custody on warrants stemming from a rape reported to police in December 2015, and an aggravated assault case from May 2017, in which Warren was accused of beating the victim with a miniature baseball bat. No further details were immediately available on either of the underlying offenses.

Warren has been returned to Dauphin County, where he is awaiting preliminary arraignment on the charges.
