Harrisburg police officers investigate afternoon shooting

No one was injured and no arrests were made in a Tuesday afternoon shooting that took place in the area of 4th and Woodbine streets in Harrisburg.

The shooting happened around 2 p.m. Woodbine was closed off to motorists for about 45 minutes as officers collected evidence, mostly shell casings.

Sgt. Kyle Gaustch confirmed there was a shooting. He said it was too soon to say who was involved or if there is any connection with any of the other recent shootings in the city.

While no one was reportedly shot, there was property damage, he said.

The glass door to True Deliverance Holiness Church of God was shattered in the shooting. Nearby residents were checking their cars to see if they had bullet holes in them.

Police are investigating.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Harrisburg Police Department at 717-255-6516. Anonymous tips can also be submitted online.
