Turnpike crash causing heavy delays near Lebanon, Harrisburg exits

UPDATE: The crash has been cleared, but there could be residual traffic delays.

Traffic is backed up Saturday morning between the Lebanon-Lancaster and Harrisburg East exits of the Pennsylvania Turnpike because of a crash involving multiple vehicles, the Turnpike Commission said.

The crash is blocking the right lane on the westbound side of the roadway at mile marker 249.2, according to a traffic advisory that went out around 6:40 a.m.

The commission is warning travelers of backlog and heavy delays in central Pennsylvania for the time being.

The crash is continuing to affect traffic in the area as of 10 a.m.
