More than 1,000 runners took over the streets of Harrisburg on a brisk, sunny morning to tackle the 26.2-mile distance.
Alexander Hampel, 26, of Marietta won the Enders Insurance Harrisburg Marathon today in 2:31:48, a pace of 5:48 per mile.
Greg Johnson of Dillsburg, 27, the 2016 and 2017, champion took second in a personal best time of 2:32:25 on his birthday. Mount Holly Spring's Fred Joslyn, 34, the 2015 champion, finished third in 2:39:11.
Jenny Fiscus, 40, of Brookville was the first female, finishing in 3:05:30, a pace of 7:05 per mile. Rachel Greszler, 36, of Bethesda, Maryland, was second in 3:15:30 and Erika Boyle, 37, of Lincoln University was third in 3:18:04.
In the masters division, Steve Bonica, 41, finished first in 2:54:22, followed by Cem Aslan, 42, in 2:54:58 and Chuck Engle, 47, in 2:57:05.
For female masters, Kimberly Wikel, 41, was first in 3:23:81. Tanya Navarro, 49, was second in 3:25:39 and Julie Huyett was third in 3:25:39.
