Perth Lotto winner: Clarkson’s second Division 1 jackpot win for October

LADY Luck is stuck in a holding pattern over Clarkson - the northern Perth suburb has its second Division 1 Lotto winner for the month.

The tradesman from Clarkson has collected his $443,884 prize after Saturday’s Lotto draw after checking the winning numbers in The Sunday Times.

“I just kept pacing around the room, not knowing what to do with myself,” he said.

The winner has been playing weekly for 28 years - but he said this entry felt particularly lucky.

“My entry had two of my favourite numbers - my nanna and mum’s birthdays,” he said.

“I told my mum I had a good feeling about this one and when I found out I had won, I couldn’t wait to tell her the news.

“I’m sure looking forward to seeing my bank statement. I don’t think it will really sink in until then.”

He has got big plans for the winnings - big house plans, that is. After initially planning to invest the money, he is now considering buying a ‘fixer-upper’ house to renovate.

“I’ve got some friends who buy, renovate and sell on property as their full-time jobs. Who knows, maybe I’ll give it a crack,” he said.

“But in the meantime, I’ll purchase some new tools and gear for my trade and go on my first overseas holidays since I was a kid.”

He is the second Clarkson man contemplating a life-changing Lotto win.

Earlier this month, a man began looking forward to ditching the fly-in fly-out life after claiming a $1 million jackpot in Wednesday Lotto.

It turns out the little things make big winners happy
